Each item listed will be used to provide my students with a safe environment where they can express their emotions and process heir thoughts. People often assume that the counseling department at elementary schools have budgets to get materials, that is not our case. It is very difficult to provide a place for mindfulness without the necessary tools and materials. These materials will teach my students how to maintain a healthy mindset, express their emotions and stay control of their behaviors. In order for students to have a successful future, they need to have a healthy balance in academic, personal and social components. These materials will help teach the necessary skills to meet the personal and social components.
