These materials will motivate my students to further engage in the reading of science text. These graphic novels will supplement our existing textbooks that use very technical vocabulary. I would be able to easily motivate them to finish reading a book and at the same time learn the English language through content. We will use these books for our center activities involving decoding, fluency, comprehension, and writing. I will also require my students to create lesson summary presentations with the inclusion of real-life situations in the book or through research based on the book that they read. Integrating science, math, reading, and language will be easier because of these supplementary materials.

About my class
