The students in my class come from a low- to middle-socio economic backgrounds. Many are working hard to learn English while others are working hard to improve on what they already know. About 70% of my students are on free or reduced lunch and do not have the financial means of other students. My students are hard working first graders who want nothing more than to have a little fun while they are busy learning.
