My students are an inquisitive bunch! Personally,I loved this story as it is an important commentary on human nature and the American legal system. Many of my students had questions about trials and fairness in the courtroom following the Trayvon Martin case and had a lot of questions for me. I love the fact that they like to learn and are full of energy. When I have an amazing teaching day with them, it makes me feel great to know that we have such a positive effect on each other. They enjoy discussing literature and this book is such a wonderful avenue to do so. My kids really try to learn and become better students. This story shows them that it is important to do your best and do what you know is the right thing to do, regardless of what others my think or say to you.
