All of my students want to become good readers. They are excited to be in school and eager to start using the chrome books. One way for early learners to become better at reading is to listen to other good readers. We have several computer programs where students are able to "listen" to reading. In order for each student to choose the story they want read to them, they each need their own headphone. In addition to being able to listen to reading, students must practice reading in a variety of ways during the day. Having headphones with a microphone attached is an engaging way to get students reading aloud. Even the most reluctant reader is willing to read to themselves into a microphone.
