The main goal for this school year to share germs as little as possible. A normal school year would include teddy bear counters, pattern blocks, linking cubes, etc. being placed in the middle of the table to be shared or explored. Patterns would be created. Ten towers would be created. Math stories would be acted out. School money would be shared. However, that is not an option this year. This year, each child needs their own individual math materials. Hence, the book totes. Each tote would be attached to the students table via a command hook. The totes have a place for their name. Math materials would be placed within each tote. Students would not need to share. When working with pennies, students would be told to take the bag with pennies out of their tote. If school closes and we are all forced to distance learn, the students will have the ability to take the bags home with them. All math materials would then be at their disposal. Please help make this crazy year a little bit easier for us! Thanks!
