My students are 6 and 7 years old and are just beginning to enter into the wonderful world of reading. Many enjoy picture books because they are still creating a story in their mind based on pictures since they are beginning readers. My group os students love stroy time when I read aloud and enjoy closing their eyes to imagine themselves in the story. They are a social group and love working together as a community. They attend a public school.
