My students are leaders in the classroom. I am there to teach mini-lessons rather than whole class instruction for long periods of time. Students work individually or in small groups to understand and apply concepts through various hands on activities. The students are so eager to learn and love being "in charge" of their own learning. Considering the amount of digital learning that takes place, implementing technology in the classroom is a must. Unfortunately, our district and school is behind in the technology department and frankly the money is just not available to provide my students with the technology needed to be successful in today's digital world. My goal is to provide my students with more opportunities for technology based learning in the classroom to help meet their individual learning styles and learning needs. Many of my students don't have the opportunity to use computers or Internet at home.
