Budgets keep getting smaller and I often spend my own money buying basic school supplies for students who come to school without any. I've exhausted my personal allowance for the classroom this year and I am in dire need of new globes for a hands on learning experience for my students. New learning standards in my 4th grade classroom has left me without the learning materials I need to inspire my students in engaging lessons. My students are active learners who need movement and visual models to help keep them motivated. Our single globe is so old that I am uncomfortable using it for classroom lessons. I also need several globes so student can manipulate the globes themselves to understand how the earth moves around the sun to help learn patterns of objects in the sky.
