These energetic students are open to helping others by learning a new skill in using a knitting loom to create stocking hats. The hats will be donated to a foundation that is local and supplies the less fortunate kids with warm hats and mittens for the winter months here in Minnesota. The students are curious to learn a new skill while knowing that this new skill will be helping others too. As the students are involved in this project, they will be connecting with each other as they grow to learn and use new and old skills in building a community of nurturers. The creating of items gives the students ownership and shows value in what they are doing to help others.

About my class
