Technology is what engages my students! I am trying to buy ipads for my classroom. More ipads would allow feedback to students in a timely manner and a chance for all the students to record and share their work! This year I tried something different in hopes of getting my students to revise and edit their papers better. With an ipad, students can record their writing and create a QR code to attach to their essay. This allows other students to hear what their peers have written and students can practice reading aloud with intonation. I have noticed that students are editing and revising more and modeling to other students what a great paper sounds like! I only have my personal ipad to use in my classroom, and it takes a long time to get 74 kids to record and share their writing. Having more ipads in the classroom would be wonderful!
