AMCMS 8th graders are an amazing group of kids! They come thirsting for knowledge and find that through hard work and dedication, they can achieve so much in a year. We are very diverse school, but when entering the walls of our classrooms, the students become receivers of knowledge and are no longer are viewed by their parent's income, but viewed as students that will contribute to society one day and will be fully prepared when they leave our campus for high school. In the state of Texas, Science is tested in 8th grade. The state test encompasses all knowledge from 6-8th grade. It is indeed a difficult year, so it is of my belief to keep students well organized and standards held high of each student I come in contact with. They indeed meet expectations set before them, for we not only believe in them but also teach them to believe in themselves and their peers.
