The Sphero robots will be used for 3rd through 5th grade students to learn not only coding but robotics and technology, giving students memorable, real-world learning experiences. Sphero robots will be perfect for my students because they require no prior knowledge of computer science. In the classroom my students will be developing their computational thinking skills and mindsets that are necessary to compete in a technology rich economy. My students will be learning coding on three different canvases; drawing, block, and text. These canvases will provide coding and programing skills for all ability levels of students from beginner to advanced. Through the use of the Sphero students will create projects while gaining fluency in technology skills needed for their future.
