Our school is located in the Arkansas Delta. I have over 600 very cool 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. 65% of our student population qualify for free or reduced lunch programs. I am on a mission to add more technology to our library media center. With the movement towards Common Core, our students need as much experience with new technology as possible. I have 17 desktop computers in my library. My average class size is 22. This leaves around 5 students without a computer. Five students without the opportunity to have a hands-on learning experience with one of the many technology tools I present to the them throughout the year. The addition of 5 Chromebooks to our library would allow for all students to have access to technology when they come to the library. Students visit the library once a week with their class, and can go to the library once a day for free-flow.
