The most important gift I can give to my students is a love of reading. By having diverse books at the tips of their fingers, they will have the opportunity to explore and experiment and build their reading stamina. They will be better prepared for college, but better than that, they will learn (or relearn) to love reading. This is the first half of my dream to create a literature rich space. With this influx of books, I will be able to implement a reading workshop (the flip side of my writing workshop) where students will play with language. I hope you will join me and help make it come true.
