Our school has been fortunate enough to receive Promethean Boards for all of our classrooms. However, we did not receive funding for ActivSlates and accessories, I would love for my class to have one. It is basically a wireless tablet that offers the same interactive function as a Promethean Board, but has the advantage of freedom of movement. As a wireless tablet, it would allow me to leave my Promethean Board more. I could bring the slate to students to work with the Activinspire software and lessons. The tablet and pen would allow students to work out or answer problems interactively on the tablet for the whole class to see. In addition to the ActivSlate, we would love a student camera for digital lessons as well. I believe technology integration is an asset to the curriculum. I am currently a 3rd grade teacher at a Pre K- 5th grade school.
