5th graders have big, growing bodies and our classroom isn't that big of a space. Some flexible seating options and privacy shields will help my students make the choices that are best for them to be able to do their best work, whether that is at a traditional chair and desk with a shield to help them concentrate or on the floor with a comfy cushion. Thank you for helping our room be as successful as possible! My students are at a critical age to develop sound decision-making skills as well as learning how to care for their needs and self-advocating. I plan to establish a classroom where students can choose whatever learning arrangement that works best for them is available and a welcome choice. Our class motto becomes, "With privilege, comes responsibility." The class learns how to be responsible with their choices and they grow into the transition to middle school.
