The students I work with are much like any other sixth grade children. They are fun-loving, inquisitive, and even quirky. Many of these children, however, are also under-privileged. Many enter my classroom reading far below grade level, and often feel incapable of catching up to their peers. Others, on the other hand, are voracious readers, who enter middle school prepared to excel at everything they do. What do all of these students have in common? They can ALL become life-long readers. They just need to be given access to the right books.
