The flexible seating I requested will help students learn to work together. Collaboration is important for young learners as they adjust to the socialization aspect of kindergarten. Working together is a skill students will carry with them far beyond their years in school. This is a necessary skill in all areas of our lives and Kindergarten is a great place to start teaching children the value of collaboration. The idea of flexible seating shows students learning can take place anywhere - not just in a traditional classroom setting. I chose a flexible seating option that will work in my classroom. The low table and the chairs are the perfect addition because they are effective without taking up much space. The chairs fold flat and are easy to store. This will be a welcome addition to my classroom.
