I want to procure basic supplies for my students to use in my classroom that they would typically purchase through their own families' funds. In my years as an urban educator, it has become clear to me that my students typically do not have access to technology, organizational supplies, creative materials, etc. at home. I want to be able to provide things like printer access, binders/folders, notebooks, writing implements, art supplies, etc. in my classroom. I want my students to be able to print out a resume and cover letter that they can use to apply to jobs, I want them to be able to take notes in a notebook, keep track of class materials in a binder, etc. Many of my students are also food-insecure, so I would like to have snacks on hand for them.
