My students have an amazing desire to learn and grow. Unfortunately, with overloaded class sizes and instruments falling apart, I do not have all the materials needed to fully support their musical leanings. The students know that the music classroom is a safe space for them to accomplish things they struggle to do and create with items they don't have access to anywhere else. The donations for this project will help all students have a better opportunity to explore and create. Music is an important aspect of any thriving community. The students of AES share their talents and musical knowledge by performing outside of school, such as evening performances where the community is invited as well as traveling to the nearby senior center and performing for those who can't make the evening performances. Having more instruments available to the students will allow them to learn more about music and share with those around them. We are in need of a Bass, Alto and Soprano Xylophone, an Alto Glockenspiel, Tambourines, various Tubano and Hand Drums, tubing to fix our current xylophones and mallets to accompany all the instruments.
