I teach a terrific group of of second graders that come from variety of ethnic, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. This diversity is part of what makes our public elementary school such a wonderful place to learn and grow. I want my students to look forward to their "table time" each day by providing them instruction based on their needs. Some of my students are English Language Learners and require instruction that will promote vocabulary development that may not be available in their homes. I will use this table as a place to promote small-group instruction that will allow for students to be challenged and inspired at a pace that meets their individual developmental readiness.
