Welcome to my classroom of "Fabulous Firsties." We are a first grade classroom that welcomes students to learn language, literacy, math and science in an integrated and thematic approach. We celebrate diversity in all forms including culture, language and academics. We work together as a class of good friends. Our goal is to become strong readers and writers as well as curious scientists. We become immersed in content units and develop a passion for exploring the world around us by investigating solids, liquids and gases as well as our community. In our class, children can borrow books to take home in English or Spanish as well as borrow learning toys to reinforce literacy and math concepts we study in class!
