Not all students these days love to read, but they definitely enjoy being comfortable! So once I get them comfortable, then I can help them find the right book to read! These new add-on options for my flexible seating classroom will allow me to get my students in the mood to read. The kids love to turn off the big bright classroom lights, so they will be able to turn on the four, new, reading lamps to set the mood. Then they can pick out a just right book off our new book shelf and stretch out on the carpet or on the furniture to enjoy their book. After they read and before we discuss our books, they can pull out their journals and write about what they read on the new coffee table or TV trays. At the end of class, after our book discussions, they will store the book they have chosen in the new mailbox holder we are hoping to get so their books don´ẗ get lost or taken by anyone else!
