Lights and Literacy will be my focus for my students. The lighting in our classroom is not the best, so these lights will create a "cool" feel for my students as they are reading, since that is the subject I teach. Rafters hang from the ceiling that will provide the perfect canopy for the strands of lights. From the texts that are taught to the books that are selected by free will, reading with the overhead lights off and the light strands on will inspire a deeper love of reading for my students. I envision pleading readers asking for five more minutes of reading time.
