We are a middle college- a charter school that guides and supports our students to graduate high school with a certificate or associates degree. Our students come from 30 school districts and including home school, private, parochial and charter school students, we draw students from over 80 different educational programs. Our students are diverse in every sense: they speak Farsi, English, Arabic, Spanish, tribal dialects, and other languages at home; they celebrate Eid, Passover, and Christmas; they are taking college Calculus and they're reading at a fourth grade reading level. They share a common goal: to graduate high school with a Michigan high school diploma in one hand, and an associates degree or technical certificate in the other. Many of our students take night classes, have jobs, are involved in their communities, and are responsible for childcare for their siblings or own children. Our students carpool, take 3 buses, and travel as long as an hour to get to school.
