My Pre-K students are filled with excitement and enthusiasm and have always looked forward to coming to school. For them, each day was a new adventure filled with music, drama, art and play as they discovered the world around them. At this time much of that has been taken away from them. Hurricane Sandy devastated our school building, forcing its closure for several months. Our student body has been separated and relocated to several different sites. Each day my children ask when will their school will be fixed. They miss the everyday things that we so often took for granted. They miss the comfort of "home," their routines, and their materials. They ask for their toys, crayons, blocks and so much more. For them, each day was a new adventure filled with music, drama, art and play as they discovered the world around them. At this time, much of that has been taken away from them.
