My third grade students are a curious and precocious bunch. They have many questions and are eager to discover their own answers. I have a room full of happy kids who are proactive, set goals, put first things first, think win-win, seek to understand, synergize, and sharpen their saws. Yes, they definitely sharpen their saws. Our population is diverse. A little less than half of my students speak different languages at home, so every day is an opportunity to learn and celebrate our heritage and diversity. We are a Title I school. However, my students do not receive funding because we are not a tested grade.
