I teach a very special group of 1st graders, who LOVE to read! In the past, my students have worked their way through my books slowly throughout the year as their levels increased, however, the amazing group of kids that I have this year has already read almost everything! This means that I am constantly buying new books and having to find somewhere to put them! Almost 70% of our school receives free or reduced meals. A majority of my students are from homes where they have minimal access to books or other reading materials and so they truly find pleasure in reading, and I find pleasure in their excitement for reading!
