Our percussion students love playing xylophones and drums (who wouldn't?). They pride themselves on playing awesome music using their hands. Unfortunately, our xylophones and marimbas are very aged, which limits their sound (a project in the future........hint hint....). Having professional quality sticks and mallets will help our drumming students create good sounds that will rock the concert hall. We plan to order mallets made by the best percussion companies so we can play our xylophones, marimbas, vibraphones, chimes, triangles, and bells for our Spring concerts. Better mallets will also help these students for their annual concert evaluation. With these mallets, they will be able to perform for students at feeder schools, parents, and community members in Barrow County and beyond.
