I have had the pleasure of teaching at my neighborhood, Title 1 school for two years now. My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with most students receiving free lunch, but for what they lack in experience and funds, they make up for in enthusiasm and love. Each day I am met with eager artists, ready to take a journey into another new experience. My goal as their art teacher is to fill that journey with as many opportunities as possible and to continue to provide the top quality arts education that they deserve. The arts open windows to the world and help my children, who have very little, imagine a future that is bright and filled with wonder. If I can provide just one student a path to a better future then I have been successful.
