These books will make a difference because I have found that struggling readers will easily lose interest in reading if they can't find books on their reading level. Once they find that they can pronounce most of the words in a book, as well as understand what they are reading, they will want to read more and they are better able to write or talk about what they have read. Students who are struggling readers tend to also have a problem writing and talking about what they have read if the book was not on their level. They will also quickly lose interest in reading. So these leveled reading books will spark the love for reading in my students and well as encourage them to write.
