Novel studies are an important part of my classroom reading program. When each student is provided a copy of the book to read, they have more opportunities to interact and read carefully with the text. The island journey of the wild robot, Roz, will help to inspire my students to create imaginative solutions to real world problems.Through the study of this novel, we will integrate computer science, engineering and the study of Earth's systems. I am excited to introduce my students to coding through Edison robots. My students will explore the engineering process through the use of LEGO bricks to augment their Edison robots to serve different functions.
