The books that I am requesting will enhance my classroom library as well as give students the opportunity to check out books for home to practice their reading ability. This will also help to increase their vocabulary, their imagination, and to learn more about the world. I chose these books because they are at the level for beginning first graders and continue to be used for review. The non-fiction books will help the students make connections to real world experiences and also introduce the students to experiences they may never see. The fiction books help the students make connections to their own lives and introduce them to parts of a story, such as the characters, where the story took place, and what happened in the story. My students will have the tools they need to become successful readers. These books will be used for many years to come. Thank you for donating to my project.
