l love teaching math and science in middle school. I am involved in cross curricular activities as well. Students are surprised that math skills are needed in science, social studies, and language arts projects. I am currently working with students and teachers for the purpose of student-led grant writing. Enthusiasm is contagious as students and teachers brainstorm projects. One student exclaimed, "What?? I can write a grant for everyone to see?" Yes!!! Yes, you can!" (Si, Se puede!) It's moments like these that I feel the tingles and I glow on the inside. I love my job!
