My students come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. We are definitely a school of haves and have-nots. We have a high minority population, but we also have students whose parents are doctors and lawyers. One way we are trying to level the playing field is that we implemented a 1-to-1 program with iPads this year. For some students, this is the only piece of technology that they have ever used.
