My students get really excited about read alouds. They love to listen to different genres. As I read to them, I glance and see the curiosity and interest in their little faces. This makes me want to provide my students with a variety of exposure to literature. By having a listening area in our classroom students would have the experience to sit in a quiet area and listen to books at their leisure. I believe they would enjoy the experience of choosing the books they would like to listen and read along to. I am confident that listening to books will encourage their love for reading.
