I believe that if students have places to store their materials, it will provide much-needed structure into their everyday routine. Students need love, structure, and organization. I am hoping that the furniture I am asking for will be the first step in visually providing that for my classroom. I will use the easel in order to create anchor charts easily in front of my students. This will help me create a more interactive lesson environment. I believe that most students are able to focus more effectively if they are comfortable-- wobble cushions will help with that. Having a corner shelf near my small group center will allow me to organize my supplies so they are accessible quickly (can't waste any time!). Lastly, having a mailbox will allow my students to have one spot to pick up all of their work from. This will also help create routine. Overall, I want to serve my students to the best of my ability. I know that these supplies and furniture items will help me in reaching my goal and serving this community.
