The best way to provide a personalized learning experience is access to modern technology! Technology in the classroom isn't necessarily about what students can get from an iPad, but all about what they put into it. Having access to iPads within our classroom opens the doors for personalized learning in ways only technology can provide. One of the ways we incorporate personalized learning in our classroom is through presentations. Having iPad access would create a whole new realm of possibilities for students to incorporate technology with their research. Apps on an iPad like Doink Green Screen, Book Creator, and Explain Everything are only the beginning in what would provide a personalized learning experience for each student in my classroom. With technology students truly control their own learning experience. The iPads will be used for both individual and small group collaborations such as science research and investigations, performance tasks, iMovies, and more. Students will also be able to use the iPads to demonstrate mastery of 2nd Grade standards in nontraditional ways.
