Pike Township is an urban residential community, which is located in the northwest corner of the greater Indianapolis area. It is home to families with diverse social, cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. My classroom serves students in Pike Township with special needs that require a separate classroom for learning than their peers. The special needs may vary from year to year and include but limited to students with Down Syndrome, Orthopedic Impairment, Autism, Hear Impaired, Blind/Low Vision, and Traumatic Brain Injury. The students work on academics, functional life skills, and receive integrated physical, occupational, speech, and other therapy while at school.
