My 40 5th grade students engage in five hours of uninterrupted instruction everyday. For most of the scholars, this is an extremely long time without a break. I began to notice students losing motivation, becoming fidgety, and disengaged and needed a solution to this problem. Flexible seating! Throughout class, some students would stand, others preferred to sit on the carpet or move throughout the room. In order to accommodate the needs of every student, I am looking for alternative seating options; such as wobble chairs, balance ball chairs, feet bands, and bean bags/chairs. Flexible seating The donations to this project will help to improve my students' learning by keeping them engaged while also being comfortable.
