Bringing nature into the classroom will help my students experience and understand the world around them. Creating alternative ways to produce food is a life skill that will help them in the future. Who knows, you may buy their produce one day. Our goal is to grow produce that can be used in the cafeteria to benefit the whole school. Lessons will be developed that will go beyond the typical textbook reading. This will be experiential learning within the walls of our school. My students don't always have the opportunities to interact with nature and I hope to help them see that respecting and nurturing our environment will benefit all society. Thank you for considering this project.
