My classroom is filled with dynamic 8th graders who love to learn in new and exciting ways! They are non-traditional learners so I must be a non-traditional teacher. I am always looking for innovative ways to teach my curriculum, such as reading a science fiction novel, building a model for an abstract concept, or designing sustainable environmental solutions. I try to build strong relationships with my students and always encourage them to do their best, even though that may mean stepping out of their comfort zone. Middle school is a difficult period and I strive to be a light that helps guide them through.
