Many of the items we need are basic necessities for a music classroom: folders to hold music, pencils to make notes, expo markers for more involved learning, file folders for organization, etc. I am trying to re-vamp this chorus program and rejuvenate their passion for music by requesting items like boom whackers, egg shakers, and a rain-stick. The available resources are outdated, damaged, or are not relevant to the target age group. The classroom needs updates on musical materials, I have worked with students in a town nearby, and their more modern materials made the students more receptive to the content taught.
