My classroom includes twenty Kindergarten students. My students are very inquisitive and have expressed an interest in animals this year. They thrive when completing group projects that meet their interest and abilities. I've researched and believe this would be the best way to foster their interest by providing a unit, Oviparous Animals, that would allow them to actually research, hatch and observe baby chicks in our classroom. Our school is a rural county school where students' learning is vital.
