The amazing students where I teach are eager to learn and are on fire to read books with characters whose lives resemble their own. The students need a push in the right direction in order to see that the learning process, literacy, and sticking to it changes lives and builds a positive community. This class is full of talent. We have comedians, basketball players, authors, writers, artists and musicians. This project is aligned with several of our state's standards. Students will benefit so greatly from having access to a multicultural text.

About my class
