The media center is at the center of our school. It has been stagnant for years and our children are craving an interactive, exciting place where they can investigate our ever-changing 21st century society. We desperately need new technology and engaging materials that meet the needs of all students at Berryhill. Our school is a part of a large, urban school district; however, we are located in a more rural part of the county. Many of these students have never seen the "big city" even though they live only a few short miles away. The school is a Title I school with approximately 90% of the students receiving free or reduced lunch. Almost half of my students are learning English as their second language and I always try to provide exciting experiences that show the students information rather than just telling them about things.
