Our students engage in science, math, engineering, and arts by hands on learning. In our classroom, the emphasis is on project based learning. In the fall season, students learn about the trees and the changing colors of their leaves, pumpkins, apples and corn growing. They observe the outside environment, draw pictures and make models of fall trees. In winter, they will learn about the water cycle, and make models of precipItation, condensation, evaporation, collection through different science experiments. Students also learn about the solar system and use different materials to express their perceptions of it. They learn about transportation, about different kinds of vehicles, and how they work. In addition, students are also introduced to the laws of motion as they build simple machines. All these topics with the help of the tools and materials will promote the students to become more interested in their learning thus creating curious and joyful learners for life.
