Time Timer brand timers are great for students with autism because they are visual and they help students to follow their schedules more independently. In my SLC-TREK class, we are working on skills to become more independent learners. These requested timers will promote independence by giving my students a concrete visual to let them know how long they are working on a given task. The watch timers are going to be used for my students who are working on transitioning into a general education setting independently. The timer allows them to know how long they have left in their general education class and when to return to the SLC-TREK class.
