I noticed that students are extremely creative with STEAM tasks and often come up with designs I never would have thought of. Students aren't "told what to do" during this time. I really encourage them to "think the problem through" as their thoughts are different from my thoughts. At first, this can be a little frustrating to students (they are pre-set that a teacher is looking for a specific design) but once they break out of that mindset, their accomplishments are amazing and inspiring! I found that my students came to school on time and excited in the morning for STEAM!
